In terms of economic benefits, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in 1 Month to 8 month this year, the operating income and total profit of non-woven fabric enterprises above designated size decreased by 5% and 66% , the profit margin was 1.2% , down 2.2% year-on-year. In the short term, the operation of the industrial textile industry will continue to recover.

In terms of international trade, according to China Customs data, 2023 Year 1 Month to 8 month, China's industrial textile exports amounted to 262.9 US dollars, down 13.7% year-on-year; imports amounted to 35.1 US dollars, down 16.4% year-on-year. In terms of specific products, overseas demand for non-woven fabrics continued to recover, with export volume increasing by 4.2% , reaching 85.1 thousand tons, and the export value decreased by 5.6% , reaching 25.4 US dollars year-on-year. Disposable hygiene products (diapers, sanitary napkins, etc.) remain active in overseas markets, with export value increasing by 15.5% , reaching 22 US dollars year-on-year. The export value of wiping cloths (excluding wet wipes) was 9.2 US dollars, down 2.3% 。

In terms of export destinations, taking non-woven fabrics, special yarns, threads, ropes, cables and their products , which account for a large proportion of industrial textiles, as an example, Asia is the largest export region, accounting for 57.1% of total exports, followed by the EU and Latin American markets, accounting for 11.3% and and 8.9% respectively. The African and North American markets account for and 8.6% and 7.9% respectively. Vietnam, the United States, India, Indonesia, Japan and South Korea are the main export destinations for these products, accounting for 34.7% of total exports. 。
